From 1914 to 1979, Riverview Park was the heartbeat of Des Moines summers. Nestled along the Des Moines River, it was a place where families laughed together, teenagers shared first dates, and kids experienced the thrill of their first roller coaster ride.

Riverview Park wasn’t just an amusement park; it was a piece of Iowa’s soul. The sounds of the Dodgem Cars, the sparkle of the Ferris Wheel lights, and the echoing cheers from the Chute the Chutes were memories shared by generations.

For over 65 years, Riverview brought people together through classic rides like the Mirror Maze, Love Tunnel, Haunted House, and Roll O Plane. Parents who once held cotton candy in one hand and a ticket book in the other now tell stories of those summer nights to their kids and grandkids.
